Who is the UNSUB?

For Agent Sadie Bonds, finding the answer to that question means the difference between life and death for someone close to her. The UNSUB’s latest abduction reaches right into the heart of the ACPD, forcing every member of the department to search within their ranks for the sadistic perpetrator.

Suspicion not only clouds the task force; it slithers into Sadie and Colton’s bond, challenging their love. Discovering the truth means facing their past together. Sadie’s connection to Colton has quieted her inner demons—but is she strong enough to confront the real monster?

All players take their places as the stage is set for the final scene. With the UNSUB manipulating the game, even Sadie and Colton fall victim, spiraling deep into the darkness that threatens not only their lives, but their trust. As Sadie navigates a tortuous maze, Colton will do whatever is takes to protect her—even if that means revealing his secret.

The truth will set you free. Only for Sadie, her truth will test the very fabric of her reality. She must silence the threat, or risk losing everything and everyone she loves.

Review:
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the most difficult review I have had to write all year - so far. Why? Because this book was amazing. And I'm having a hard time conveying its incredibleness without spoiling everything that happens in the book.

I opened this one up to start reading and couldn't stop. I had to, I had dinner plans, but when I had time again I picked up right where I left off. I stayed up until almost four o' clock in the morning to finish this book because I just had to know what happened. I had been waiting so long, now that I had the book I wasn't about to wait anymore. Throughout this book, Sadie and the rest are racing against the clock to save the UNSUB's next potential victim. The ticking clock had me metaphorically on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Colton and Sadie still had that breathtaking chemistry between them that, yes, took my breath away. I love reading about them together and how accepting they are of one another. Their chemistry completely sizzles when they're together and I love reading about it. I have to admit I loved how protective Colton felt toward her, too. I equally loved that she could take care of herself.

The multiple Points of View is something that I really love about this series. We are able to get into Sadie, Colton and the UNSUB's heads. Every POV was fascinating, even when it was rather terrifying at the same time, I couldn't stop reading. Even the scary or creepy parts had this element of almost an eerie beauty to them.

We have been wondering who the UNSUB is since the beginning of book one. I read every book carefully, looked for clues, cues, anything to help me figure it out. When the answer finally came, I didn't expect it. At all. Then I was mad at myself for not figuring it out sooner.

The ending... that's what really blew me away. It's so hard not to give it away. It gave me chills up my spine and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was an absolutely mind blowing ending. It has been a long time since I've read a mind blowing ending. And oh boy, did this one do it well. I finished this two days ago and the ending is something I've still thought about many times throughout the days. I loved it. It scared me a bit, it blew me way, blew my mind and I loved it. I hope that I've done this book (and the whole series) justice. It is incredible. When I reviewed book two I said that I was fairly confident that this series would become one of my favorites. And I was absolutely right. It is a new favorite of mine. Incredible. I can't say it enough.

I'm going to miss reading abut these characters so much now that this is over. I read it fast so I could find the answers that I wanted but I'm not sure that I'm ready to let these characters go. 5 quills to this book and to the whole series.
